Now that summer is drawing to a close this may mean that pretty soon your outdoor activity may come to a close also. During the summer it seems that we are more active and able to do more things on a daily basis. Once the sun goes away and the snow fills our driveways we have a tendency to be less active. So what do you plan on doing when the dreaded winter hits? If you are on a diet and you are active because it is summer time, now is the time to come up with your plan for winter. If you wait until the first cold day and you lose interest in going out for a jog or whatever it is you do outside, it may be too late.
The first day you take off may be the last day you exercise for a long time or at least until the sun comes back again. Come up with a game plan that you can use to keep yourself active. If you can afford it perhaps a treadmill or a gym membership is a good way to keep yourself going. For others buying an exercise video or two, so that you can do your exercise from the comfort of your living room while the kids are at school is a great idea. No matter what you choose make the decision now so you are ready to get fit even when the weather is not what you would like it to be.
